This action will freeze either a named Action Queue
or all queues, effectively disabling the bot from being able to perform any commands, alerts, channel point rewards etc. until the queue is resumed.
Valid States Pause
Resume
If all action queues are paused, you will not be able to unpause them unless the action is set to
Always Run
Clear
This will purge any pending actions in the queue as the state change happens. Purging a queue can also be done separately with a Clear Action Queue
subaction
There are times when you may want to temporarily prevent Streamer.bot from reacting to any incoming event or command. The workflow below will set up 3 actions to exist outside the usual queue system to enable quick and easy control over the other actions Streamer.bot can perform
Under Settings
-> General
, create a queue to contain your Killswitch actions. This is to ensure that it will always be ready to run when you need it to, and not have it waiting behind other pending actions
Having this action separate from the Pause
and Resume
actions allows you flexibility. You might want to pause actions while something important happens and then you want the queue that has built up to carry on, or you might want to purge all actions in the case of hostile raids and follow botting for example.
With these 3 actions created, give them an easy way to be executed such as a streamdeck button or command that trusted users can run. This way you can react quickly if the need arises
